Disclosure: this is not a live blog and I’m writing it on
June 4 back in Dallas
We spend a lot of time on the porch at Al and Eileen’s. It’s
a great covered porch.

Saturday, we go to the Shed at Smokey Mountain Harley Davidson
for lunch – Al and Eileen and Rick drive – we ride. After lunch, we ride over
to 129 then across to the old Foothills Parkway. Not many miles, but breaking
Blackie in (she’s had a bit of work lately).

Sunday, we all go for a ride with Al borrowing his old trike
from Roger to go with us. Ride over through Townsend onto Little River Road to
Metcalf Bottoms (it’s a picnic/camping spot in the park, but there’s a little
road that takes you over to Wears Valley to the “new” Foothills Parkway – then over
to the “old” Foothills Parkway to 129 to Dragon City (supposedly the Tail has
been paved in both directions and they only have to do “clean up work.” We’re
not taking the Tail because we’re a bit concerned about the oiliness on the asphalt.
Dragon City’s Pit Stop for lunch – their Philly cheesesteak was great (not 100%
Philly cheesesteak, but really good!). Dragon City has a motel and a restaurant
(https://dragoncityresort.com/) and
their restaurant has good food – they really like “DUMPSTERS” – something I
wouldn’t really do since I’m not a stick-a-bunch-of-different-things-in- a-bowl-and-mix-them-together
kind of person. (https://www.facebook.com/DragonCityTn).

Over to 336 to weave our way back home.
Monday, we go for a ride for ice cream at Rocky's Place. They have scoops and soft serve in lots of flavors. Of course I get black raspberry soft serve! And of course I text Tom, Levi and Pete pictures of ice cream.
